The Corowa Characters

Our great Australian whisky is crafted by people just like you. Born and raised in the heart of Corowa, they’ve got a few stories to tell. Our Corowa Characters pays homage to the “lads” who make up the production team at Corowa Distilling Co. They are very serious about producing a world class product with a cheeky attitude that doesn’t take the industry, or themselves, as seriously.

Dean – The Boss
A maker of great whisky. Drinker of it too. As Managing Director, Dean’s passionately pursuing his quest for the best-tasting whisky around served with honesty, simplicity and no BS. And although he’s in charge, it never feels that way with a team as excited about the distillery’s future as he is.

Beau – Head distiller/ dreaded distiller
Meet our head distiller, Beau. He’s probably not the kind you’re used to as one of Australia’s youngest head distillers. Together with his love of whisky, expert craftsmanship and youthful exuberance, Beau’s setting the scene for the new modern world of whisky. He loves what he does and he’s bloody good at it too.

Paul – Head of Production
Paul aka Muscles, the pharmacist turned head of production and Instagram official “Muscles” a key member of the team, the grounded & realistic one keeping the others under wraps. Once the mayor of Corowa (yes true story) a true Corowa lad through and through with absolute dedication to the team, the whisky & the process.

Jim – Head mash man /graphic design
International man of mystery and jack of all trades. Head mashman turned photographer & graphic designer is there anything this character can’t do. With a keen eye for detail & creativity Jim is pivotal to the team here at Corowa, ensuring we all stay on track with our “spontaneous” plans and true to ourselves in the meantime.
