- In 2009 the Corowa council now known as the federation council approached owners Neil and Coral Druce and offered them the flour mill for the sum of $1. The council saw what Neil and Coral had done with the Junee flour mill turning it into an amazing attraction now famously known as the Junee Licorice and Chocolate factory and sought out the druces to see if they would be interested in doing something similar to what they had accomplished in Junee.
- In 2009 the sale was made to the druces for $1 and that includes all of the buildings. The sale came with two requirements; the building be restored to the best of their ability and that somehow the space will be utilised as a tourist attraction.
- Then we created our café, and in 2014 we broke through the wall to create our function room. Here we cater for various events such as weddings, birthdays, dinners and markets.
